“Women in Jordan do not have a choice in what jobs they hold, they have to accept what is offered,” says UNWOMEN’s Regional Programme Manager, Shirin Shukri. According to Shukri, the most common jobs held by Jordanian women are teaching, nursing, IT-data entry, sales, and tourism.
